PROJECT
Eleni’s work is structured around the symbolic language of the weavers in order to explore palimpsest narratives of the island and the ways in which contemporary art practice can negotiate issues of identity and tradition in collaboration with local communities. At the same time, her work attempts to highlight the presence of the female voice as it is expressed through the symbolic language of the traditional weavers of Tinos.
